NEW PUBLICATION: HOW CUBA RECRUITS SPIES AT U.S. UNIVERSITIES
Longitude, the Italian monthly on World Affairs, has published a slightly-edited version of our article on Cuban Intelligence recruitment at US universities. Former U.S. ambassador Victor Manuel Rocha, a career diplomat, is the latest high-ranking U.S. official sentenced to prison for spying for Cuba who was recruited in college. The growing number is reminiscent of the “Cambridge Five,” a spy ring recruited at the University of Cambridge in the 1930s that spied for the Soviet Union for decades within the British government.
